Ho index (Edinburgh score)

The Ho index, on day 3 of intravenous steroids, estimates the chance that steroids will fail.

Mean stool frequency over the first 3 days
Colonic dilatation on abdominal X-ray (5.5 cm or more)
Albumin 30 g/L or less on admission
